    Instant lead auto-reply

Auto-reply sends a branded email to every lead the moment they submit a form, FAQ question, or booking request — so prospects feel acknowledged within seconds, not hours.

    Why it matters

Most leads go cold within an hour. With auto-reply on, your prospect leaves the inbox knowing:

    • You received their message
    • When to expect a real human reply
    • (Optional) The AI answer to the question they just asked

You — the seller — still get the same lead notification you always did. Auto-reply is in addition to human follow-up, not a replacement.

    Turn it on

    1. Open any Site from your dashboard
    2. Scroll to the Auto-Reply section
    3. Toggle Auto-reply enabled on
    4. Pick a mode:
      • Acknowledgement only — short "we got your message" reply
      • Acknowledgement + AI answer — best for FAQ and Search Reps; includes the AI answer that was just shown
    5. Customize the subject and body if you want (the defaults work fine for most). Available placeholders: {{site_name}}, {{lead_name}}, {{ai_answer}}, {{cta_url}}, {{cta_label}}, {{response_window}}
    6. Save

    Per-widget overrides

Want auto-reply on for your FAQ Rep but off for your booking form? Open the Reps tab on the same site, expand any Rep, and choose Inherit / Disabled / Custom under "Auto-reply override". Custom mode lets you change just the fields you care about — the rest fall back to the site default.

    Tracking sends

Every auto-reply is logged. On the Leads page each row shows a status pill — sent, skipped/suppressed, or failed — and the lead activity timeline records the exact send time.

    Suppression

We never auto-reply to the same email more than once per 24 hours per site (prevents loops if someone is forwarding to a shared inbox). Hard bounces and unsubscribes are honored automatically.

    Troubleshooting

    • Toggle is greyed out — your sender domain isn''t set up yet. Click the inline "Set up sender domain" link.
    • Status shows "failed" — hover the badge to see the error. Most often this is a temporary rate-limit; the queue retries automatically.
    • Status shows "skipped" — either the recipient is on your suppression list, or they hit the 24h dedupe.
