Lead Scoring Explained
How lead scores are calculated and what makes a lead hot.
·1 min read
Every lead is automatically scored 0–100 so you know which to call first.
What goes into the score
- Source quality — quote requests > calculator submissions > FAQ form fills
- Engagement signals — how many plans were selected, time on page, return visits
- Contact completeness — phone provided, business email vs free webmail
- Buying signals — message keywords like "budget", "ASAP", "pricing"
- Plan tier selected — higher-tier selections score higher
The hot-lead threshold
Scores ≥ 80 get the 🔥 flag in your inbox and notification emails. These are leads to call within the hour.
Where you see the score
- Lead inbox column
- Email notification subject line ("🔥 Hot lead from Acme Co")
- Slack and Zapier payloads (under
lead_score)
Tuning
Scoring weights are tuned platform-wide based on conversion data. Per-workspace customization is on the roadmap — let us know what signals matter most for your sales motion.
