Answer Engine Setup
Configure and launch the Answer Engine guided-search Rep on a client site.
Answer Engine Setup
The Answer Engine is a single embedded Rep that answers buyer questions with content from your site, then captures the lead when intent is commercial.
Prerequisites
- Site added to your workspace
- Initial crawl completed (status =
completedon the site detail page)
Step 1 — Confirm the crawl
Open the site. You should see embedded chunks > 0 and a green completion badge. If the crawl stalled, click Resume. See Crawl Pipeline for details.
Step 2 — Set branding
Site → Rep → Branding:
- Logo (auto-detected from the site, override if needed)
- Primary color (auto-detected)
- Font — inherits from the host site by default
- Position (bottom-right / bottom-left / inline)
- Unbranding ("Powered by" removal — Agency tier)
Step 3 — Configure capture
Rep → Capture:
- Required fields: name, email, optional phone
- Consent checkbox + privacy policy link
- Auto-reply email (subject + body, with variables)
- Routing recipients
Step 4 — Install
Reps → Install. Copy the one-line script tag, paste before </body> on the client site. The Rep loads async and won't block page render.
Step 5 — Test
Visit the client site, ask an informational question (you should see an AI answer with citations), then ask a commercial question (you should see the capture form). The test lead will appear in your Leads inbox immediately.
Tuning over time
